Terms of Service

Effective date: [Date]

These terms are written to be read, not skimmed past. They explain what Beacon does, what you're paying for when you book a ticket, and what we each promise the other. By using this site or booking our service, you're agreeing to them.

Beacon is operated by [legal name of owner or registered business], based in [city], Egypt ("Beacon", "we", "us"). You can reach us any time at [contact email].

1. What Beacon is

Beacon offers two things:

Scholarship discovery — free. We list scholarship opportunities compiled from information published by their providers. Browsing, filtering, and saving scholarships costs nothing.

Application preparation — paid ("the ticket"). For a fee shown before you pay, our team prepares your application for one specific scholarship: a professional CV built for that program, an essay developed together with you, a review and organization of every required document into a complete application package, and preparation for the scholarship's exam or interview if it has one.

2. What Beacon is not

This matters, so it gets its own section:

3. The ticket service

Timing. Work begins as soon as your booking is confirmed, and your complete application package is delivered within three days — unless a specific scholarship requires longer, in which case we tell you the honest timeline before you pay.

Your part. The three days work when you do your part: provide truthful information and authentic documents, answer our questions promptly, and be available for the essay conversation. Delays caused by missing documents or slow responses extend the timeline by the same amount.

Authenticity. Everything we produce is built from your real story and your real records. We will not fabricate achievements, invent experiences, or work with forged documents — and if we discover falsified documents or information, we stop work immediately without refund. The essay is developed with you and remains your work; you are its author, and you are responsible for reviewing your scholarship provider's rules about outside assistance before submitting.

Submission. We prepare the package and guide you through submitting it, but the application is yours: final submission, meeting the provider's deadline, and attending any exam or interview are your responsibility. We'll prepare you for them — we can't attend them for you.

4. Prices, payment, and refunds

The exact price of a ticket ($150–$300, depending on how demanding that application is) is displayed before you pay. There are no hidden fees. Payments are processed by [Stripe / Paymob]; we never see or store your card details.

Refunds, stated plainly:

  1. Because work begins the moment your booking is confirmed, payments are final once work has begun.
  2. If we fail to deliver your application package within the promised window, you receive a full refund.
  3. If, before starting work, we determine you don't meet the scholarship's requirements, we tell you and you receive a full refund.
  4. Not being selected, or not passing the provider's exam or interview, is not grounds for a refund — the fee pays for preparation work, which is completed either way.
  5. Work made impossible by false information or forged documents is not refundable (see section 3).

5. Your account

You may create an account to save scholarships and book tickets. Keep your login credentials private — activity under your account is your responsibility. Provide accurate information, and tell us if something changes.

If you are under 18, you may use Beacon and book a ticket only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. We're glad to speak with parents directly — many do, and we consider that a good sign, not a problem.

6. What belongs to whom

Your documents are yours and stay yours. The CV, essay, and application package we deliver belong to you from the moment of delivery — use them as you wish. We don't reuse your essay or your story for any other student.

The Beacon website itself — its design, text, and compiled listings — belongs to us. You're welcome to share links to it; you may not scrape, copy, or resell its content.

7. Fair use of the site

Don't use Beacon to do anything unlawful, don't attempt to access other users' data, don't interfere with the site's operation, and don't misrepresent yourself. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

8. Our liability, honestly framed

We stand behind the quality and delivery of our preparation work — that's what sections 3 and 4 promise. But we cannot be responsible for things outside our control: a provider's selection decision, a provider changing its deadline or requirements, or interruptions caused by third-party services (hosting, payments) beyond our reasonable control.

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the booking in question.

Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.

9. Ending things

You can close your account whenever you like — just ask, or use the account settings. We can suspend or end service for fraud, forged documents, abuse of the site or our team, or violation of these terms. An in-progress booking is always either completed or refunded per section 4.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and note the change on the site. A change never rewrites the deal for a booking already in progress — the terms you paid under are the terms you get.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of [city/governorate], Egypt. That said — if something's wrong, contact us first. Almost everything can be fixed by a real conversation.
